Adults and children you see but whose lives you cannot imagine.
Family Services gives them the resources, dignity, and hope to reclaim their lives and get one step closer to a new future.
A safe place can change someone’s world. Around 8,000 reports of domestic abuse are documented in Forsyth County annually. Many of these victims sought refuge at Family Services’ Domestic Violence Shelter. Currently operating at maximum capacity, we can no longer meet our community’s rising demand and changing needs. That’s where you come in.
Our experienced, caring professionals offer comprehensive advocacy services and intervention programs for victims, survivors, and their families. We help individuals and families who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, human trafficking, stalking, and elder abuse.
Since 1905, Family Services has been providing relief, shelter, and support to children and families so they may reach their full potential. Our emergency Domestic Violence Shelter cumulatively provides 8,601 nights of care for adults and children each year. By helping people in need make positive, lasting changes in their lives, we help build a healthier and more stable community for all of us.
We need your support to make safety and compassion One Step Closer for anyone living in fear and isolation. Give our community hope and bring healing to those in need.
